Beginner Tumbling
Recreational Tumbling
This class is designed for individuals who are new to tumbling or have limited experience. This class focuses on developing a strong foundation in tumbling skills while fostering a safe and supportive environment. Participants will learn fundamental techniques, body positions, and basic tumbling skills. The primary objectives of this class include building strength, flexibility, coordination, and body awareness.
Skills taught in the Beginner Tumbling Class may include:
Forward rolls
Cartwheels
Handstands (against a wall or with spotting assistance)
Bridges
Backbends
Bridge/backbend standup
Through progressive drills, spotting techniques, and individualized instruction, participants will gain confidence and proficiency in these fundamental skills, setting a solid foundation for further tumbling progression.
Level 2 Tumbling
The Level 2 Tumbling Class is designed for participants who have successfully mastered the skills taught in the Beginner and Level 1 Tumbling Classes or have equivalent experience. This class focuses on advancing the tumbling skills learned in the earlier levels and introducing more complex techniques. Participants will continue to refine their form, strength, flexibility, and overall tumbling proficiency. Skills taught in the Level 2 Tumbling Class may include:
Back handsprings (with spotting assistance)
Round-off back handsprings
Tumbling connections and combinations
Back handsprings series (multiple in a row)
Participants in this class will work on developing higher-level skills while focusing on executing them with increased power, precision, and control. Through consistent practice, drills, and progressive training, participants will build upon their foundation and expand their repertoire of tumbling skills.
Level 1 Tumbling
This class is designed for participants who have successfully mastered the basic skills taught in the Beginner Tumbling Class or have some prior tumbling experience. This class builds upon the foundation developed in the beginner level, introducing more challenging skills and combinations. Participants will focus on improving technique, strength, flexibility, and overall tumbling proficiency. Skills taught in the Level 1 Tumbling Class may include:
Round-offs
Back walkovers
Front walkovers
Emphasis will be placed on proper execution, form, and developing the strength and body control necessary to perform these skills safely. Through dedicated practice and individualized feedback, participants will continue to progress their tumbling abilities and expand their repertoire of skills.
Level 3+ Tumbling
The Level 3 and up Tumbling Class is designed for participants who have successfully mastered the skills taught in the earlier levels or have equivalent experience. This class is geared towards more advanced tumblers who are looking to further refine their technique and expand their skill set. Participants will continue to enhance their strength, flexibility, and overall tumbling prowess. Skills taught in the Level 3 and up Tumbling Class may include:
Round-off back tuck
Round-off back handspring back tuck (with less spotting assistance)
Front tucks (with spotting assistance)
Aerials (side/front) (with spotting assistance)
Standing back tucks
Layouts (with spotting assistance)
Full-twisting layouts
Specialty passes and advanced combinations
Participants will focus on improving the execution of more complex skills, incorporating advanced spotting techniques, and developing the air sense required for higher-level tumbling. Progression in this class will be driven by consistent training, proper technique, and dedicated practice.
